Hollywood Beauty Olive Oil Creme Hairdress For Dry Hair

Promises: No Petroleum Jelly that can weigh down hair and clog follicles. This light, non-greasy formula enriched with NATURAL OILS and VITAMINS A, B, C, & E will add moisture to your hair leaving it soft and manageable. OLIVE OIL has long been used as a skin softener which you will notice on your fingertips and cuticles after each use. With regular use you should obtain the same results on your scalp.

Directions: Apply to fingertips and gently massage throughout hair and scalp.

Ingredients: Water , Isopropyl Myistate , Soybean Oil , Olive Oil , Stearic Acid , Stearyl Alcohol , Glyceryl Stearate , Vitamin E , Matricaria Extract (Chamomile) , Calendula Extract , Vitamin B , Macadamia Nut Oil , Vitamin A , Coconut Oil , Rosemary Extract , Sage Extract , Vitamin C , Great Burdock Extract , Triethanolamine , Methyl Paraben , Propyl Paraben , Imidazolidinyl Urea , Fragrance , FD&C Yellow No. 5 , FD&C Blue No. 1

The Truth: I picked this up from my mother's room since it was just laying around, so I take it that she didn't really like it. Anyway, I tried it out on my hair (which has been straighter than normal since I did a roller set) for a few days now and I must say it's pretty good. It does not weigh my hair down (dipped 2 fingers in the jar only using a dime size amount per section) and it leaves my hair soft, provides a healthy glow/shine, feels incredibly smooth to the touch and moist. THIS IS A SHOCK to me since oil based products (yes water is the 1st ingredient, but it's full of oils) don't necessarily agree with me....but this did!

It's light green in color, has a creamy consistency but doesn't smell that great :-| I'm going to try it on my air dried hair and see if I like it too. Overall, so far so good! This could be a staple moisturizer for straight styles =]

Tip #1 : Use a light weight oil to seal in moisture i.e. Coconut Oil (what I used), Grapeseed oil etc.

Tip #2 : If you're suffering from dry ends, apply a small amount all over, paying close attention to your ends, then baggy for 2-3 hrs. You'll have soft & hydrated ends.

  4. I used this when I first started my hair growth journey and I didn't like it. I felt it caused way too much build-up for my liking.

  5. @ Rauneygal - For real? I never knew you use this. I'm trying to compare it to Herbal essences long term leave-in conditioner. Still haven't decided yet.

@ Age in ATL - Thanks for the mini review. Hun there are tons of good roller setting videos on youtube. I haven't perfected the art of roller setting so I won't be doing a video any time soon...lol

    @ Virg0diva - Oh wow, what a coincidence!!! =]

@ LHDC - Oh that sucks. I saw your post on LHCF stating that you loved it. I guess our hair can fall in and out of love with certain products.

  6. How do you apply Hollywood Beauty Olive Creme. Do you have to rinse it out? Can you baggy with it ?! do you have to rinse it out after baggy with it ?

  7. I have used this product for air dry styles like braid outs and twist outs and I love how it leaves my hair. I've been told the carrot and castor oil versions are good too. I will definitely make this creme a staple in my hair routine. :-)

  8. I tried it a couple yrs ago, and didn't have much luck on my relaxed 4b hair. It is actually too light weight for my extremely dry hair. I had little to no results. I used half the jar and gave it to my niece who has a bit finer hair. She really likes it.
