What You Didn't See After The Show With Chris Rock and Solange!

Oprah states that she would NEVER cut off her hair like Solange! Why? because she doesn't have the head for it. Do you think your head shape and features play a major role in which hair styles fit you best?

  1. I think it does. That's why stylists give people styles that fit the client's face shape and such.

  2. Yes definately. My had is shaped like an alien. I have this lump in the back that would like funny if I cut/shaved my hair really close. I will ever stay long :-).

  3. i agree. certain cuts and styles look better on certain people. i think that oprah could rock a baby fro but i don't think she could go as short as solange. i love oprah but she does have a big head. lol!

  5. I partly agree. But then again, I believe that anyone can rock any hairstyle if they have the confidence to back it up.

  6. Yes, your head and face's shape/features dictate what the best hair style would be for you. I have seen way to many get the BC and look really weird because their face is too round or their head is too big. If you don't care that a hairstyle compliments you, then more power to you..but I definitely ain't one of those people. I would NEVER cut off all my hair..sorry.

  7. I actually think that Oprah could pull it off, although her natural hair is wonderfully luscious!

  8. I also think it does. I will never cut all of my hair (even to become natural). People would be looking at me for my head's shape not my lack of hair...

  9. Thanks for your input everyone! I wish I could rock a twa like Solange. I never really saw her true beauty until she cut off her hair. Interesting...

  10. What is that woman talking about. Why does Oprah need to cut her hair. She is already a natural. Call me pessimistic, but this reminds of how many of my black friends say that other people, if you know what I mean, are always suggesting they cut their hair.

  12. oh definitely. i have a head shaped like a cliff. i would never cut my head that short. the world is not ready for what im rocking under these braids.

but solange pulls it off very well. her hair texture also compliments the cut.

  13. I have a huge head. Huge enough that sometimes even I get startled by its size in the mirror. I would never shave my head like that. And if for some reason I had to, I'd wear wigs till it grew a little.

For anyone, no matter what race, there are certain styles that suit you and certain that don't suit you, no matter your confidence level. There are lots of people walking around confidently looking a hot mess.

Oprah has a bit of a meaty face. It might be hard for her to carry off hair that low, without looking like a bald man. Solange on the other hand has really delicate features and a bony face (i.e. her face bones are sharp and defined), so she still looks feminine and delicate. It's cute on her.

Not every style is for everyone.

  14. Is oprah natural? Neway I feel that if you are confident you can rock whateva you like but in regards to the head some styles are more flattering than others on ppl. I have a huge head and I have rocked a natural two times in my life. I feel I looked better with long hair but confidence will make nething work. Oprah can be so funny sometimes!! Great clip!
