Hey Sunshyne, I am totally having trouble mastering the art of hot oil treatments. I have tried Hot Six Oil and the Carol's daughter Hai Elixir, but my hair is beyond unmanageable when I wash out the treatment an hour later. My hair seems to become more tangled and unruly when I try to wash it out, and I am not seeing any benefits. Help please!

To protect your previously relaxed hair from being over lapped? i just has a few questions. I am new to having a regimen for my hair. there are things that I am so lost about. I have bought some of the products on sunshine's list and I am following a similar regimen but I feel like I don't see any results. I have so many questions. When you moisturize and seal your hair is it supposed to be stiff after. I moistuzize with the wave noveau and seal with coconut oil but after my hair feel so stiff and unmalleable. Is that supposed to happen? I have a serious breakage problem as well. I have being trying protein treatment with egg, conditioner and olive oil but nothing seems to be working.Can someone please give me some advice.

Can you recommend another product to use besides creme of nature? I discovered while in high school that this product extremely dries my hair and I am too nervous to give it another go. I had a baby 2 months ago and within that process my hair has fallen out badly and I actually have balding areas I am trying to grow back.

@ sparkles, though im not sunshine, i do know that another way to deep condition without an hooded dryer, is get a towel and put it in lukewarm to hot water and put a plastic cap over your hair and put the towel over it. It does wonders for my hair, when i don't have time to just sit under the dryer.

I am resolving to do my hair more this year. I have noticed little to no growth over the past 5 years with my beautician. I think it has to do with the products (CHEAP) she uses. Can you go into more detail about air drying. My hair is about 2 inches past my shoulders and very thick. I have tried rollersetting and it ends up looking a hot mess. I would like to bun it for a while. When you airdry/bun, when do you actually bun the hair? Do you use any products to smooth the edges down? How long do your buns last? Does the hair get completely dry in a bun?

I noticed that co-washing does not work for me at all. My hair was breaking more than ever so I just was 2x/week and dc every time. I moisturize daily because 2x a day is too much for my hair and I apply T-tree scalp oil mixed with JBCO every 2 days.

I am looking at your regimen and I pretty much follow along in a similar manner - and have seen and felt tremendous differences. My question is when do you do your protein treatments...how does it fit in?
I wash 2x a week and DC both times...You seem to do a protein treatment once every week...do you do it on ur wash day and then follow up with your regular DC?

Hi Sunshyne, like with others stumbling onto your blog has given me the inspiration to grow my hair longer. I already had APL hair without taking care of my hair but I wanted by hair to be longer. Since starting I've noticed alot of shedding when I moisturize and seal my hair(ball of hair about the size of a dime). Have you ever had this? Do you have an advice on what I could add to slow the shedding? I'm at a loss of what to do.
