Wash day (Sunday) has come and gone but my hair remains soft and smooth - thanks to Luster's Pink Shea Butter and Coconut Oil line!

I've been using these products for months now and I have definitely found my favs! My hair really likes the Sulfate Free Shampoo, Moisturizing & Silkening Conditioner and the Silkening Leave-in Conditioner. What I love most is the caulk full of quality ingredients mixed with the fresh coconut scent that is present in every product within the line.

When using the shampoo on my relaxed hair, my felt extremely moist and soft during and after lathering - despite there being protein in the ingredients. The low lathering shampoo didn't strip my hair of its natural oils. It did aid in the detangling process - which is always a bonus. The shampoo rinsed out easily and left no residue behind.

I t-shirt dried my hair and proceeded to whip up my moisturizing conditioner mix i.e. Moisturizing & Silkening Conditioner + Luster's Pink Castor oil, Jojoba and Grapeseed Oil to the DC for extra conditioning. I went under the dryer for 25-30 mins to allow the conditioner to penetrate deep into my strands

Upon rising out the DC, my hair felt soft to the touch and smooth. Though the conditioner is light in consistency, as I ran my fingers through my hair, I knew the conditioner penetrated. I t-shirt dried for a total of 15 mins to allow the t-shirt to absorb all of the excess water. I then applied a quarter size amount of the leave-in conditioner to various sections of my hair, especially my new growth.

I've used this leave-in conditioner on both dry and damp hair, several times, and I can say that it wins hands down on wet/damp hair. With its "lotion-like" consistency, the leave-in is sooooo slippy its incredible! Detangling is a breeze. The mixture of Panthenol, Glycerin and Marshmellow root extract is just on point. I always find myself reaching for the leave-in and using it on wash day, whether or not I use the entire product line. The leave-in conditioner is also a new growth tamer!

As a final step, I began to style my hair using the curl and twist pudding along with some perm rods for a twist-out. I let it air dry overnight and removed the rods in the morning! Loving my shine!!


Overall, the Luster's Pink Shea Butter and Coconut Oil line truly surprised me! We all know Pink lotion had a "negative" representation in the healthy hair care world due to its "no-no" ingredients i.e. mineral oil, petrolatum etc. But its evident that the team over at Luster's Pink have truly been attentive in including all the right combinations of great ingredients to enhance the product experience and improve hair health.
