Why?

Without a doubt, it's the best selling healthy hair care guide over the past decade - in my opinion. That's right, The Science of Black Hair was released April 2011 and it's STILL my 'go-to' for all things hair care related.

I've always considered myself a student of healthy hair care - I'm never not learning or educating myself. 

I like to think of The Science of Black Hair as a textbook for healthier hair - that's how good it is!

Not only is it a jam packed arsenal for anyone starting their hair care journey, but it truly keeps you focused on what's important verses what's not. It zones in on the vitals, highlighting the keys to achieving healthier hair. It takes the guess work out so you can get to your goals - faster. Huge time saver.

As mentioned before, I'm constantly learning and educating myself not only on my hair and the way it behaves but on effective hair care practices, do's/dont's, and specific hair conditions to help serve others. 

The Science of Black Hair breaks down the knowledge of trouble shooting simple hair care issues i.e. moisture/protein balance, shedding, breakage, porosity issues etc. to make your hair journey a breeze and enjoyable.

If you know me, you know that I adore this book. I used, and still use, this guide as a reference. I love that it has a scientific background to help further your understanding of hair, its characteristics and how it behaves.

Not only has it helped me navigate through my hair journey, in the right direction, but it aided in me achieving and maintaining healthier hair. Lastly, it brought clarity and practicality into my hair regimen. 

So yup, The Science of Black Hair is still going strong in my hair education arsenal. Definitely my "go-to"!
