New Style: Banana Clip Pin Curl Style

Tuesday, July 27, 2010

I saw this style on a fellow Hairlista and I instantly fell in l♥ve. I like this style because:

  • It's easy to do
  • Low manipulation
  • Cheap
  • Classy
  • Great for those stretching relaxers.
I did this style on air dried hair. I moisturized with S-Curl No Drip Activator and sealed with Hot Six Oil. I used 2 bobby pins per curl (6 in total) after securing the banana clip. I added a little muff in the front for style :)

I am 10 weeks post relaxer in these photos so don't mind the kinky coils! LOL

  8. I love this style! It's elegant enough for a special event, but it sounds easy to do.

Your hair is so thick! I have thick hair, too, but I'm still shoulder length, so I think I need to wait until my hair gets longer to try this style.

You've inspired me to pay attention to my hair and try to grow it longer... thanks!

Thanks so much for the hairspiration! My hair is collar bone length in the back and lower neck lenth on top (way shorter than yours) but it very fine, so I was able to do a shorter version of the hair style. My hair is natural and I really do not know how to style it, besides blowing it straight, wearing a pony tail, or a rod set, so thank you!
