Taliah Waajid World Natural Hair Show 2013 + Pictures

Wednesday, October 16, 2013

Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the Taliah Waajid World Natural Hair Show (Saturday October 12 & Sunday October 13, 2013 10am - 7pm) in Atlanta, Georgia.  It was my first time in Atlanta and first time ever attending a Hair Show.

Words cannot describe how great this event was.  People of all ages and genders, including children, were in attendance. Everywhere you turned, you would see someone who was relaxed, natural, transitioning or with locs. Although I'm relaxed, I have a deep appreciation and love for all textures. In fact, many thought I was natural, not knowing I was relaxed. Never in my life have I seen so many different textures and products all in one place, all there for one purpose. I felt like a kid in a candy store - honestly!!

I just loved the wealth of information and product demonstrations that was available. Every booth had something entertaining or informative to provide.  Everyone was friendly, approachable, and open to learning more about their hair health. I felt right at home. Overall, I met a bunch of wonderful individuals, met up with a few Hairlista Inc. friends and soaked in everything the Hair Show had to offer. The event was a great experience that I would definitely re-visit sometime soon!!

Pics below. I captured as much as I could. Enjoy!!

This is an interesting tool for anyone on a hair care journey. The Q-Redew steams the hair, stretches it and softens the hair all at the same time without the use of water! Perfect for all textures for all styles i.e. twist-outs, braid-outs etc.

The lovely ladies over at Hicks Total Transformation booth. The little girl I was posing with had the sweetest personality and unique outfit, just had to capture a picture of her :)

Me and NeNe at the Nene's Secret Booth. She's such a sweetheart. Her Perfect Pretty Pudding smells so yummy!!

All smiles at the Cantu Shea Butter booth!

This gorgeous lady is so humble! She's the World's Top Natural Hair Model.

Nothing but fun, laughter, stories & cupcakes over at the Creme of Nature booth. I also had the opportunity to meet the fab MsVaughn!! Love these ladies.

Beyond Expected Entwine products. They had the crowd loud and live with demos and a chalk full of giveaways.

Booth 301 was all about Tropic Isle Living! It was an honour to speak at the Tropic Isle Seminar both Saturday and Sunday throughout the WNHS. They had free massages with Tropic Isle oils, and free giveaways! I enjoyed every minute I spent with these phenomenal ladies.  I soaked up a lot of knowledge and met some awesome folks. Words cannot express how grateful and appreciative I am for the whole experience.

  5. Yes I recently got a trim, however when my hair is in a braid out, it's much shorter because of the waves/curls. Thanks love.
