The Truth: This is a great light protein conditioner that can be used weekly. I've been using it since March '09 & It does an excellent job of strengthening my hair to a point where it's strong yet soft. It's very creamy & slippy upon rinsing it out (great for detangling), which is a surprise since most protein conditioners are not like that. The peppermint and the menthol leave a nice tingling sensation in your scalp. It reminds me of the Cathy Howse Deep Conditioner. This conditioner has the 3 main components in it 1. Protein 2. Oils to lubricate the hair 3. Stimulants. I instantly notice the thickness in my hair every time I use it. It's a keeper. I use it as a prepoo with heat on dry hair.

I will be using this light protein conditioner as part of the Protein Is My BFF Club on Hairlista.com

  3. I used this 3 years ago and remember how soft it made my hair feel. I got bored of it due to a severe case of PJ-ism lol But might try it again, for light protein im addicted to ORS Pak but will switch it up with Vitale. Thanks for the reminder Sun ;-P

  8. @ Tamala - Don't be scared of it. Embrace it and know that protein is an essential building block for your hair. It's necessary. Just use the right amount of protein that is good for you and your hair.

@ Anonymous - Your welcome. Hopefully you'll like it too.

@ Anita - Your welcome Anita. You're right, it does make your hair soft.

@ Fav. Girl - I used ORS Hair Mayo a while back. Honestly, I'd say that they are quite similar in ingredients. Compare the two when you go to the BSS next.

@ Zahra - YAY! I'm glad you like it. Thanks for responding back =]

@ Anonymous - No, I don't mix any oils with it. In the future, I may add protein rich oils to it i.e. avocado oil, coconut oil etc.

@ Sara - I don't prepoo before my protein treatments. Please take a look at my regimen and you will see everything I do.

  9. DONT USE IT!!! THE HAIRDRESSER USED IN ON MY HAIR TO STRAIGHTEN IT. ALTHOUGH MY HAIR IS STRAIGHT NOW BUT IT'S ULTRA DRY. NEITHER ANY OIL NOR ANY CONDITIONER CAN DO ANY GOOD TO MY SCALP NOW. WHEN MY HAIR COMES IN CONTACT WITH WATER I CAN'T EVEN SLIDE MY HAND THROUGH MY HAIR, IT'S ALL ENTANGLED AND SUPER DRY. BEFORE I USED THIS PRODUCT MY HAIR WAS SOFT SMOOTH AND SILKY.

  10. I think everyone's hair is different, my hair was my healthiest when i used vitale pro and vitale olive oil products. Maybe its bcuz i didnt wash my hair every single week, but vitale olive oil hair mayo never made my hair dry, my hair has never felt so silky and smooth when i use it. It is the BEST detangling conditioner in my opinion and its hard to believe that it would make someone's hair dry... Maybe some ppl should try mixing up their conditioners, not sticking to one, I just started my regimen aand vitale products are in it again..
