Got New Shears: Tweezerman Stainless 2000 Styling Shears

Thursday, September 09, 2010

I finally got around to purchasing new trimming shears. For those of you who remember, I had to trim off split ends due to the usage of my dull scissors back in May 2010. I purchased the Tweezerman shears from Folica.com for $25. My main goal was to find something that was sharp, stainless steal, high performance and comfortable for my hands.

Here are the details on the Tweezerman Scissors:

Hair trimming for home use.

High performance hair cutting shears without the usual high price. Made of ice tempered stainless steel to create extra sharp, long-lasting cutting edges. These precision shears are hand-crafted for optimum control, balance and comfort.

Free sharpening & Lifetime guarantee.

Product features:

  • Made of ice tempered stainless steel
  • Extra sharp long-lasting cutting edges
  • Free lifetime sharpening
  • Guaranteed against manufacture defects
  • Cutting blades are 2 inches
I haven't used them as yet. I didn't trim my hair when I relaxed in August 2010. When I flat iron my hair again I will do a light dusting and I'll let you all know how it goes. I'm actually anxious to use these scissors, weird huh? LOL In terms of storage, I'm going to keep them in the case they came in just so that it's shielded away from dust and other elements.

My question to you all:

What kind of hair shears do you have?

How much were they?

Do you like the performance?

  2. So how will you go about getting your shears sharpened? (Will you have to mail them back to the company or will they send you a voucher for your local knife shop) I would really like to know. Thanks.
